Content of the Venus INPUT directory ==================================== * Directory "cross_sections" Needs to be in the execution directory when using photochemistry. * Directory "datagcm" For the moment, it is not used... It contains only radiative transfer stuff, and will be used when running radiative transfer modules coming from the G-PCM, such as when using solarchoice=2. This is not validated configuration for the moment, so with solarchoice=1, you should be able to run without datagcm. * Directory "HIGHATM" Needs to be in the execution directory when using thermosphere (78- or 90-level configurations). * Directory "solar_fluxes" Needs to be in the execution directory when using thermosphere (78- or 90-level configurations). * jvenus.20220321 Needs to be present as "jvenus.dat" in the execution directory when using photochemistry with offline photodissociation (NOT the standard configuration). * For the NER IR module, a file named "ksi_global.txt" needs to be in the execution directory. This file depends on the configuration you want to run : - ksi50_1lat-Cld6_kdist6_haz1e-6_3e-7_y.Oct2016.dat 50 levels / Uniform cloud as a function of latitude (NOT standard) - ksi50_5lat-Cld6_kdist6_haz1e-6_3e-7_y.Oct2016.dat 50 levels / Cloud varying with latitude - ksi78_5lat-Cld6_kdist6_haz1e-6_3e-7_y.Oct2016.dat 78- or 90-level configurations * For the SW module with solarchoice=1 (standard): SolarNetFlux_RH.dat needs to be in the execution directory * In order to change the resolution using newstart, you will need a "Relief.nc" file. This file can be: - vt1x1inv.nc => 1 degree x 1 degree - topo_Thomas_inv.nc => 1/23 degree x 1/23 degree (8192x4096) From the PDS, with sharp edges smoothed out (Credit: Thomas Navarro). - topo_stats_VMTG_full_inv.nc => 1/23 degree x 1/23 degree (8192x4096) From the PDS (Magellan data, completed by Pioneer Venus to fill the gaps) These files are upside down (South on top, East on the left).
